Soda Crate Succulent Garden

Reader Submission for the Pinstrosiversary Challenge:

My husband and I are working on fun décor items for our new patio, and living in Texas, I thought these cute succulents in an old soda crate would be perfect for our outdoor dining set. I went to our local antique mall and found a great vintage soda crate—Dr. Pepper of course, since Dr. Pepper is king. I took it with me to our Home Depot and found the tiny succulents section and couldn’t decide on just one! So instead of creating a checkerboard pattern like in the pin, I made sure that each one I got was different, cause variety is the spice of life, right? I got some old corkboard and placed it on the bottom of the crate, since there are some gaps there and you don’t want all your dirt falling out, and it also will help retain the moisture when they get watered, then started planting! It did take a bit longer than I thought, just trying to get the dirt down in the little crevices, but I LOVE it and would definitely call it a Pin Win!
