The Pinstrositeers

Marquette:
I am an ambivert with introverted tendencies, which means I'm a whole mix of weird personality combinations. I wouldn't call myself outgoing, but I do love to be around people! My favorite food is peanut butter (Santa didn't believe me one year and I was sorely disappointed), and the color orange is my life-long love. I have a degree in English and a bunch of random credits in chemistry, math, art, and even drafting. Life's too short to have one single interest! I am a Photographer with a love for the unplanned. The last few years I feel like I have been able to become comfortable in my skin and have discovered a style I love, adding color into my life, and embracing high heels (and usually being the awkwardly tall person in a crowd). I've been married to Cameron for 9 years now (nearly a decade! Weird!). Darrow, our curly haired blonde boy, joined our family 2 years ago and has been stirring life up for us ever since. Ione joined out family a month early and is turning life into more of an adventure.

Emilee:
I love spontaneity more than most and run off the quip, “Eh…I’ll risk it.”. I am a hairdresser by trade, but you can often find me lurking for a deal in thrift and craft stores. I love my critters entirely way too much (not really), Peach our Airedale Terrier and Gypsy our hedgehog, you'll see them featured here occasionally! I have a degree in Environmental Sustainability and love anything even remotely biology related. I watch too much Netflix, run more than most (half-marathons) and could eat Kraft Mac’n’Cheese everyday for the rest of my life. I'm a native of New Mexico (it will always be home) and I challenge you to find a food too spicy for me. I am utterly terrified of open water, and I fall asleep in the car faster than I care to admit. My husband (Chip) and I have been together for 5 wonderfully adventure filled years and I am grateful everyday for his willingness to accept my unacceptably immature silliness. Go Phillies!

  3. Oh, I wish I had of seen this earlier! My son's 4th birthday party was in August - my attempt at the Jello Worms was challenging, the outcome was "interesting". Let's just say that the bowl of Jello Worms were the only thing on the food table that were left untouched. I think I frightened the children...

  8. I learned about your blog through a friend and spent several days going through every single page!
It sucks when a project doesn't work out as planned, but I love that people are so willing to share their misfortunes, often to the amusement of others. I am sure that I will have a submission at some point. Not to say that everything I do works, but I don't usually document the failures. ;)
Thank you for such a fun site.

  9. I have done a similar thing on my blog. http://raynprettydesigns.blogspot.com/ I call it the Pinterest Bucket List. So many of my friends were posting how they pin all these cool things, but never do them.
So I thought, why not blog about doing my pins, because I try a lot of them. A lot of them work, but some don't. So I just keep checking things off my Pinterest Bucket List. :)
    I've enjoyed your page!

  11. I followed some obscure pin and found your page. I spent a lot of time checking out your page and thinking, "Whew, I'm so glad I didn't try out that Pin before I saw this..." And then imagine my surprise when I came across the "About Us" page and saw your pictures and I realized OMG! That's Emilee! She used to live upstairs on Bigler Ave!! HAHAHA! Great page ladies! Thanks for the advice! :)

  15. You had me at Pintrosity! After a new Xbox game came into our home for Christmas, husband is now occupied for hours. So I started checking out Pinterest. I spent about $100 at Goodwill and yards sales the weekend after following boards. Then I found you guys! Thank you for snapping me out of that. I can try some things, but I will use caution. I will submit my fails... and nails!
