Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala

Reader Submission for the Pinstrosiversary Challenge:
Dinner tonight could have been a disaster, thanks to loads of homework and a late karate class. But Pinterest and my two favorite kitchen appliances came to the rescue!  My slow cooker and pressure cooker have never let me down.  And when I saw this pin to make Chicken Tikka Masala in the slow cooker, I knew we had to try it.

I made this exactly as specified, only I made basmati rice in the pressure cooker as soon as we got home from karate.  Every family member swooned over the smell when they got home from school/work.  My typically picky eight-year-old daughter ate every last bit.  And the best part is this recipe made enough for another meal- BONUS!  My husband, who has visited India on business trips didn’t think it tasted very “authentic,” but he was quickly out-voted.  So if you are looking for a spicy, authentic recipe, this one will miss the mark.  But if you are looking for something easy and tasty, this is a Pin Win!  I will definitely be making this again.
(Sorry for the bad photo.  We were so busy rhapsodizing over the food that I didn’t think to take a picture until we had boxed up our lone leftover.)
