The Kett Files: Currently in April

It's Currently time again!

The first 5 verbs given to me by the verb generator are the ones I used. Here we go!

This month I am...

WELCOMING
the first full month of Spring with open arms! I am definitely not a winter person. I love warmth so much. I guess it's good I live in Arizona! Today it's drizzly, but warm and I love it!

AVOIDING
packing. We're moving into a larger house in a few months! This little house has been wonderful and served it's purpose, but now with Ione here her baby stuff (which really isn't much, we don't get every little gadget and seat) is taking over the house and we're all going crazy. And, we'd really like our own room again and to not have all 4 of us in there together. We've learned a lot and grown here, and it's been great to not clean a big place, but we're ready for something with a little more room.

SQUEEZING
into my clothes. We've been a little too friendly with the junk food and eating out this week and we're feeling it and seeing it! It doesn't help when Cameron brings me home a burrito that is bigger than our baby, bahaha! (I didn't eat it all in one go!)
Burrito the Size of a Baby

PLANNING
a mini styled shoot, 10th anniversary shenanigans for this summer, and what to eat the next week. There is so much coming up and I can't wait for it all to get here! I'm on the lookout for the perfect dress for our 10th Anniversary Portraits and just haven't found "The One" yet. But, I'll find it!

SNEEZING
and coughing and all the fun gunk that comes with a Spring cold. Every year it seems I get a cold when Spring hits. Any one else? Now to just see if I can keep the kids from getting this!

The Kett Files: Currently in February

For this month's Currently post I decided to use a random verb generator and figure out an answer to the first 5 verbs generated. This was hard, but fun!

So currently I am...

Owing
So so so so so many people. We owe a great debt of gratitude and love to so many people. We have been and are being taken such good care of. It's very humbling and eye opening. It makes me want to do more for people in life. I want to serve more. The love we've been shown makes me emotional and I have to move on now or I'll be the weepy woman sitting in the nicu and I don't want to explain to every nurse that goes by that I'm crying because I'm blogging. :)

Kissing
Cameron! Well, not this exact moment, because I'm typing. But with Darrow at my Mother's house, Ione with the most expensive babysitters in the world (her AMAZING nicu nurses, we love them so much!), and with Cameron having the week off we'be both been able to be here in the NICU with Ione. Between feedings we have about an hour and a half to hang out, eat, or check out the town. The situation isn't ideal, but having those small breaks in-between with just us has been like a string of mini dates. We're realizing we need more time as just a couple. We haven't been good at date nights ever, but we're seeing just how important and good it is. So with this string of weird mini-dates (weird just because of the whole situation), we've been smooching and snuggling more and I love it.

Heehee. I love him. He keeps me sane and smiling.

And because he's worried that everyone will think that first picture is his real smile, here is the "normal" shot we took!  He's my favorite!

Framing
This one was hard! But I was determined to use the 5 words I was given and not switch any of them up. Makes it fun that way! I could say I've used the viewfinder on my camera to "frame" pictures when I take them. I'm "framing" crochet squares with edging as I work on Ione's blanket. I'm framing the foundation of future blog posts in my head as each day goes on. That works, right? Nothing spectacular, but at least it's an answer, bahaha.

Smelling
Baby! This whole room smells like fresh new baby. I used to think it was weird when people said they liked the smell of newborns. But I'm catching on.

Melting
Ice. With the ice machine just around the corner we have all the ice we possibly want. Now that I'm not craving ice all the time it's not getting eaten as quickly, so we always have a little bit of ice melting in a cup on the counter.

The Kett Files: Currently in January

A few bloggers I follow do really fun "Currently" posts, and they are always some of my favorite ones to read! I love getting book ideas, seeing what they are up to, and getting a feel for what they do in life and how they spend their energy beyond the blog.

So I thought I'd jump on the Currently Wagon and try this out once each month. It'll be interesting to see what each month holds and how it changes up!

So Currently I am...

Realizing: That somehow I counted the same week 3 times and thought I was 30 weeks pregnant yesterday only to realize today that I'm actually 32 weeks pregnant. And all the sudden that 2 weeks makes me feel like D-Day is so much closer! So much to do to get ready for Mini Mower #2! Eek! This makes me laugh though. When I was pregnant with Darrow I always knew how many weeks and days along I was. With this baby I've had to pull out my calendar (or before the phone died the pregnancy app) and count and remind myself how far along I was.

Watching: Merlin!
We'd deactivated our Netflix account a while back, right after I started up this show. Bouts of insomnia have hit and so we decided to reactivate Netflix so at night when I can't sleep I can sit and crochet and watch shows. And I am loving Merlin! I just got to Season 2 and it's still holding out to be fun and clean. Always a plus! I think Merlin is such a lovable character!

Meeting: One of our Pinstrosipeeps! I get to meet her and her awesome family today to take pictures! I'm pretty excited to get to meet her and for the connections this blog has generated through the years. I wish we could meet all of you! Pinstrosity convention anyone? We could have a Pinterest Recipe potluck where we all try a new recipe we found on Pinterest and have booths and classes for trying different Pinterest inspired activities. Bahaha, oh man that'd be fun!

Drinking: White Hot Coca!
(Not driving here; I'm sitting in the parking lot. Don't Selfie and Drive at the same time people!)
I'm just slightly obsessed! My cupboard is stocked with Stephen's Gourmet White Hot Cocoa. Every time we drive through St. Johns I have to stop at the Circle K there because that is the only place around I have found the most amazing White Chocolate Peppermint Cocoa (with a hint of cinnamon). And, when I feel like splurging and there's a Starbucks around I love the simplicity of their White Hot Cocoa. MMMmm!

Creating: Decorations for the baby's corner. I'm pretty excited about what I have planned! It would be fun to get to decorate a whole room with my idea, but for now the baby corner will be super fun and cute. I'll wait to share photos until when I'm done, but all the ideas were inspired by these two photos:
