I was hoping to get a real post up today, but it just didn't happen. I got to see and be with my mom for the first time since she was life-flighted out out at the beginning of the month and it has been absolutely wonderful. She is improving each day, I am so grateful to have her alive and recovering. I am sad to leave today and go back home, but hopefully it won't be long before she is home. She is one amazing lady!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday and I'll be back for regular posting on Thursday.

  3. I don't know about other readers, but I personally prefer blogs that skip a post or two here and there rather than doing "sorry no post today" non-posts that clutter up my RSS feed. Most readers won't notice if you don't post on schedule, but they do notice this! Glad to hear your mother is doing better.

    1. I think I just mentioned my mom and her condition just in passing in one of the previous posts, so don't feel bad. I haven't dwelt on it here because that's not what this blog is about, but I couldn't resist this small update of long awaited good news. She's been battling an auto-immune disorder and with her immune system decimated she picked up Cryptoccocal Meningitis which nearly killed her. She's been on IV Antibiotics for 3 weeks and has a few more to go, but is steadily improving at this point. It's been a stressful July...one I hope to not have to repeat again. But we've seen many blessings and an outpouring of love from the community, it's been amazing.
