I got a pack of glue from Hobby Lobby for $4.00 and found buttons for $1.00. I always have like five different artsy crafts going so i put glued the buttons on my cheep balloons and let it dry then finished then next part of the bowl. After i let it dry I Mod Podged it with two layers, waiting till the first layer dried before i put the next one on. Once dried i gently separated the balloon from the buttons and cut the balloon with my knife after so it slowly let out air while i kept Turing the bowl to separate the buttons and balloon. I love it it turned out awesome and if I knew how to put a picture on I would! Both work best when the 2 objects being glued together are made from the same materials, like plastic buttons. I may have to try this to see if it works.Teressahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06680796434215267457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299578764487881408.post-31471686236024764192013-03-07T18:46:48.745-07:002013-03-07T18:46:48.745-07:00I wonder if E6000 would work. I've had that bowl pinned forever and I really do want to try it one day!Juliehttp://www.handmadebyjulie.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299578764487881408.post-32559895378956950562013-03-07T15:12:14.404-07:002013-03-07T15:12:14.404-07:00I made one last year; it was one of the first pint...I made one last year; it was one of the first pinterest crafts I ever tried. I found it time consuming b/c I had to wait for each row to dry and I also had to keep pressure on them so they wouldn't slide. My bowl is only a few rows and it came out OK. I used mod podge I think, then I sprayed clear sealant on it after it was dry. Also, you have to let the air out of the balloon really slowly and help it come unstuck from the buttons, just like with the fabric bowl.

Here is the link to my blog post on it: http://tahomabeadworks.blogspot.com/2012/02/very-pinteresting.htmlJoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299578764487881408.post-5680897033653604882013-03-07T14:13:51.217-07:002013-03-07T14:13:51.217-07:00After looking at the close-up of a successful proj...After looking at the close-up of a successful project, I wonder if there was any kind of tacky glue used at all. It looks like it is only super glue that holds each button together, and a spherical object was just its resting place/mold. I don't think you're going to be able to achieve this look with tacky glue. Also, if you go the tacky glue route, once you pop whatever spherical device you use as a mold, what will the inside look like? I don't think it will look clean.Pithy Pepperhttp://www.pithypepper.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6299578764487881408.post-26873924325949485592013-03-07T14:07:38.881-07:002013-03-07T14:07:38.881-07:00I totally don't think it's worth the time/...I totally don't think it's worth the time/effort to make sure no glue is showing, but I think putting glitter in the glue and having it show would be awesome.Breenahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09434834957212834928noreply@blogger.com
