Earlier this year I made a bunch of Giving Plates from this pin:

Then this month I found some Crockpot Fudge and knew I HAD to try that out.

I followed the directions exactly, and it turned out great. Perfect consistency and flavor. Easy to do. It is the perfect quick fudge, minus the marshmallow fluff.
After it was all set up I cut it into bite size pieces, and put half on the Giving Plate and delivered it to a family friend. It was so fun to see the surprise and happiness on her face when I handed her the plate.
I'm all about quick and easy and fun, and this looks like it fits all of those with the added bonus of yum! Thanks Carolyn for the great double Pay it Forward project!
I love this idea, but I have to be honest and say that if any friend actually made something for me, anything at all, and even it was something like this cool plate, I would be very selfish and would certainly keep filling it with fudge, but I would never pass it on to the next person. My fudge (and other food) gifts go on their way on holiday themed paper plates. If that. ;)
ReplyDeleteI was kind of thinking the same thing and kicking myself for it. Also, fudge!
DeleteI love that giving plate idea.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little unnerved by the pepper and cough syrup in the back of the picture of fudge, where some food photographers would have put vanilla and chocolate chips...
ReplyDeleteI don't know about Carolyn, or anyone else...but I know that my counter top often is the resting place for various odds and ends through the day (partly because the counter top is still out of Darrow's reach). I just think of pictures like that as true to life rather than a posed "fake" picture.
